R&S®SMCV100B采用直接数字射频上变频技术来生成频率高达2.5 GHz的输出信号。这允许在数字域中进行I/Q调制和RF信号生成,消除了传统模拟I/Q调制器常见的I/Q不平衡误差和LO泄漏。由于有了新概念,信号发生器的SSB相位噪声性能非常好。模拟混频概念用于生成2.5 GHz以上的频率。

R&S®WinIQSIM2 信号模拟软件也可用于生成GNSS导航和数字通信标准信号,借助该模拟软件,R&S®SMCV100B 支持在功能性 Go/NoGo 测试中使用 GPS、GLONASS、Galileo和北斗导航标准。对于具有定位功能的功能性测试,可以播放有限长度的预定义波形。
R&S®SMCV100B基于Linux的高性能平台可完全使用软件选件进行扩展。所有选件都包含在设备固件中,并可根据需要来使用激活码激活。这包括频率扩展到6 GHz或7.125 GHz,将RF调制带宽增加到250 MHz,将RF输出功率提高到23 dBm,激活外部硬盘波形流播放功能(60 MHz带宽,采样率75 MHz)。
